Hardly Here

For the past two years, we’ve collaborated with Hardly Here on a project for Juneteenth, in which proceeds are donated to a cause of our choice. In 2020, our theme was “You’ve F**ked With The Last Generation,” which depicted G. Baby holding up a Pan-African flag. The idea of this drop was to use our platform to stand in solidarity with African-Americans, as the world saw an uprise in racial injustices, especially with law enforcement. 100% of proceeds were donated to two non-profit organizations (Bridging the Gap Globally & Color of Change) that are dedicated to the economic development of the Black community. While the goal was to donated $1,250 to each organization, Marsh & McLennan Companies, a Global Professional Services Firm, agreed to match $1,000 of our donation to Bridging the Gap Globally, which allowed us to donated $2,250 to them!

For Juneteenth 2021, we released “The Black Metropolis” which paid homage to the historic Chicago neighborhood of Bronzeville. We used our platform to explain the origin behind the neighborhood’s name, educate our followers on the historic neighborhood, etc. A portion of proceeds were donated to Build Bronzeville, which is a community organization that “uses Bronzeville’s unique assets to restore commercial activity and revitalize the historic Bronzeville neighborhood through entrepreneurship, cuisine, exciting events, and beautification.

Legacy History Pride

Legacy History Pride is a luxury brand created specifically to embrace and encompass the individuality and richness of Black culture, the beauty of Black history, and creating awareness about HBCU communities. For Election Season of 2020, we collaborated on a project entitled “Voter Registration.” The idea of the project was to use our platform to call for our peers to register & exercise their right to vote in 2020’s Election. We allowed followers to compete in a competition to win a free t-shirt once they showed proof of them being registered to vote.
